FAMILY TRADITIONS
At this time of the year, there are many traditions in which families and cultures participate. During the next few weeks, we will study some of these traditions in class. I am also requesting each student to create a presentation centered on family traditions in his or her home or in another culture. The traditions can be related to a holiday such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year or some other aspect which is important to the family. The presentation may be completed using a science board, a poster board, a brochure, a multi media form, a skit, or musically. If there is another method that interests your student, please let me know. Your student may include pictures, videos, songs, dances, foods, special dress/clothing, or other artifacts which would contribute to the overall presentation. The presentations will be completed as homework and presented on December 16th and 17th. Parents, guardians, and grandparents are encouraged to attend. I will send more details later.
